NBALIVE 2004 CONTROLER PROBLEM

If you guys have played the game , u should have realized that players move too much with the ball in a fixed position when they are in offense.. it is hard to stabilize them to start an attack since they react alot to the defense around them..If I execute any freestyle move, then it gets even harder to control them firmly ...for instance point guard starts going back and forth dribbling when he bumps in to the defender in front of him..It is like bouncing back and forth..He is moving out of my control..Dont you think that it is a little bit excessive???
The other thing I wanna mention is that when playing online, there are neither defensive nor ofensive strategy options..we must conform to the already iimposed 4 startegies??..also special mention to the absence of defensive matchups..where is it? is it a kind of bug?
