Arena brightness question

Is it just me or do some arenas have much too bright lights around the center logo ?
It's nice that the spectators are in the (relative) darkness and the court is extra lit by those flood lights (just like with hockey games), but at some courts I really get a headache from looking at the sharp, bright lightning.
For example: Madison Square Garden has it, but the Magic's Arena seems evenly lit.
I tried the console version at a friend today, so I'm wondering if the pc version has that too.
Wasn't caused by the tv or the ingame brightness.
But anyway, is it realistic if you compare it with tv coverage ? (Can't get any nba on tv here....I only wanna pay for hockey & baseball).
