UPDATE

Barnsey, Jowe and I have had the priviledge to check out some files important to patchmakers, and I thought I would share what we've got so far... please note that we do not own the game yet, just some basic info.

Thank you Tony... this is absolutely great news. The question is how do we get them in the game... same as last year or like previous years.
Thank Tony and whoever that soul was that gave you the files...

The shoe's are great... but those faces are so detailed.. I'm worried there may be a lot of generic faces. LeBron's Ears are completely diferent from the others and Amare has his little ears, it's crazy. But then you see a screen of Gary Payton and he looks like poop. So maybe it's the structure files... Thanks again Tony

Thanks for the information Tony!

Wow, the faces are so detailed, it's almost scary. It's like somebody cut open the back of their heads and flattened it :) I like how the shoes are set up for easier customization. Overall, it's very good news for patchers although the faces are going to be quite a challenge.

So basically, it's about 95% the same as last year. Which isn't a bad thing, i'm so glad we can use the shoes from 2003--

i can't wait to experiment with this thing.

thanks tony

I think we all need to find high end pictures... and it should be ok... the shots from Gut show much better pics than I had seen and gives me hope that some bad shaped faces were just angles

It's about the same really, only the converting will be a bigger task, recycling old stuff from live2003 and such. pics should not be a problem, since there are sites with good enough pics already (DPO, and CNNSI) - hell, in live2001 and 2000 the faces were twice as big as the ones in 2004. so i think patchers will manage. the huge downer is that we can't manipulate headshapes, something nba live patchers have been wishing for since forever. i mean, if FIFA and NHL patchers can get it, why can't we?!

I only hope EA is kind enough to release a tool similar to OEdit or something, the community deserves it. If Andrew could contact Tim about it... the community support would be higher than ever before. And that's a fact.

On a side note... I also posted a screenshot of Denver's away uniforms from Brien's Jersey Ed 2003. This year's textures look rather nice actually (Y)

Tony, I totally agree about the demand for a program that will allow us ability to edit headshapes. I'd be willing to DONATE $$$$ to whatever entity can make it happen.

Thanks old school fool. Here's hoping I can get my Legends league up and running on Live 2004 with my All-Time Cavs Team playing at Richfield Coliseum, though this time we get LeBron on the team with Daugherty, Nance, Price and of course, Ehlo......

This is excellent stuff, glad to know that we can use the same shoes from Live 2k3.

Hey Tony, what about arm and leg textures for tattoos? Did you manage to get a hold of those?

If you get them in the near future, be sure to let me know ASAP. Thanks!
