supersigma2of21's NBA Live 2004 Sliders

***supersigma2of21's NBA Live 2004 Sliders***

What I did was go to ESPN.com. I looked at the FG% and the 3pt% for the last 2 seasons and then I went into the sliders and converted those percentages into a slider setting as, to me, it seems that the sliders are for a percentage. So, if you set short range shooting to say 50 then you will hit atleast 50% of those types of shots. I found that the average FG% for the league was 44% so any slider that controls a shot % was set to 44. I also found that the average 3pt% was 33% so long range shooting is set to 33.

These are what I am using. Some may not like my methods and that is fine with me. This is how I like to handle my sliders and they work great for me.

Oh, one other thing, I felt that the CPU stole the ball and intercepted passes a little too easily so I decreased their steal ability and interception ability by 10% of the default value which is a decrease of 4 and 5 points respectively.

Without further ado, here are my sliders:

Thanks! Have you played a game with them yet or are you just going by the technique that I used to create them?

Yeah actually I did play with your settings and it turned out well....before your sliders guys like steve nash were going up and making lay-ups everytime over shaquille O'neal and Karl Malone...now no more :D ...its so much more realistic I did however increase the user and cpu freestyle effectiveness from 50 to 65 as actual dribble moves in real life can get you by a defender most of the time (if you make a good move)...so I bumped that up... I decreased the boundary field (In Global Sliders) from 56 to 52...I felt I was getting bumped around to much...and free throw shooting from 72 to 92...because in crunch time free throws are sometimes hard to make...other than that...everything else was great...good job (Y) :applaud:

what do you think of my adjustments do they make sense to you....
