Does the CPU actually take jumpshots?

I'm finding that no matter how hard i defend against the CPU, they always, and i mean ALWAYS drive the lane OR shoot a 3 (and rarely do they shoot 3's)!!! Even if they pass to a wide open man, they ALWAYS pro-hop and try a lay-up. They never just go up for the shot.
I'm really getting sick and tired of going to stats central after a game and looking at that ridiculous CPU shot display. I can live with the high shooting percentage, but the layups have got to stop. they're driving me insane!!! (btw, i'm not saying they're making all of these layups, they're just attempting them over and over again... regardless of success)
I even tried upping the medium range slider to 100 for the CPU... basically begging them to take shots. Still... nothing.
I played against Dallas last night (a jump shooting team) and they still just went for layup after layup after layup. *YAWN*
Do any of you guys actually see the CPU take jumpers? i'm talking about inside the arc and outside of the key.

Try the sliders.

Everyone seems to have different views on the game. Some can't hit the jumpers. Some only have the computer dunk on them. Some can't play defense, some can only play defense. It seems as though the sliders are doing there job.

For me; the computer shots alot more jumpers than they drive the lane. There are only about 1-3 dunks per game for either team. I can hit the two's, if i play good often and don't force anything.

I think EA has made the game very dynamic this year with all the sliders and the new AI.

This year it really depends on how you play the game, and the results vary from user to user.

wtf? i must be doing something wrong on defence.
do you guys play with the sliders? or do you leave them stock? i think i may have screwed with them too much or soemthing. might go back to default and start the tweaking over.
