Is there lag in on-line play?

Hi everibody,

If you played on-line with Live 2003 you would know the lag, a very serious problem when you haven´t created the game. So, that´s my question for people who are already playing on-line games. The lag is still present in Live 2004?

Nobody knows? For people like me, who plays on-line a lot this is a really important question, because lag was the most annoying flaw in Live 2003. When you play abroad it was actually difficult to win, and nearly imposible when the lag was high. It seems that USB ports can cause that, but with the patch installed and only one USA port in use, the problem still remains.

I have read that in Fifa 2004 you can play without any problems with pings up to 140-150. In Live 2003 if was difficult playing abroad with pings higher of 100. So, that´s what I want to know, and I´m asking to people who plays on-line (EddieMVP says he do that). ¿Is there lag still? ¿Or this problem is solved yet?

Are you talking about the PC version or console versions? I tried 03 PC online with a friend once and I know what you're talking about with the lag, it was horrible! However, the PC version of 2004 isn't out yet so there's no way of knowing if it has lag yet.

Oh, it´s my fault. I assumed that the problem would be in console versions too. I play Live on PC, but I can´t think of a reason to justify lag in PC version and a perfect on-line gameplay in console version.
So, I believe some people have said they are already playing Live 2004 on-line (PS2 version), and I thought they could tell me if they are able to play without problems.

actually this is a big problem in nba live..
i played a few online matches for 2003. it's terrible.

i hope 2004 has improve the online gameplay issue but i doubt ea has done anything about this.
