...it is definitely an upgrade over last season especially in gameplay. The 10 man freestyle makes player animations much much more realistic than any NBA video game I have ever seen. The dynasty features are good but it still lacks the "yeah I wanna play 25 years" flava. Serious gamers will dig it...casual gamers will probably stop playing after 2 seasons. Also freestyle is more important now and you need it to give you advantages over defences. I didn't see a load of blocks...that was a good thing. Also superstar difficulty is HARD but I reckon that I will improve after getting use to the gameplay. I still don't think it is as realistic as 2k3 but it is definitely less arcadish than Live 03. One disappointment are the player models. Some or a lot of them simply look awkward and don't really resemble the actual player. It is still very far from the graphics of 2k3 which is widely praised by many publications as owning the best graphics of a baskeball video game. I thought Live 03 had better player models but the faces as far as shape are better and some do really resemble the actual player. Unfortunately many others do not. Hopefully the PC version will look much better. The courts are ultra realistic and they paid a lot of attention to them as with accessories. Overall I give this game an 8.5/10...the same I would give 2k3 last year. I can't wait for 2k4 to come out to see how much they contrast. Also PC players have one supreme advantage over console owners...PATCHERS. I expect a lot of improved cyberfaces so PC owners don't need to worry about unrealistic player models .
