Why is the PC version $49.95?

Postby cocobee on Fri Sep 26, 2003 10:21 am

I wanted to buy my game tonight, but I saw that it was $49.95 and at EB it's like $34.99. I know the PC version is usually cheaper--so is this just a mistake?

Um...it isn't out yet, but I think just EA.com is selling it for 50. You'll probably find it much cheaper, like EB as you said, at other stores.

Compared to Australia, US prices are pretty good. PC games usually cost around $70 (when they're new), and PS2 games are almost always $99.95 (and they take a long time to come down in price).

I know, it's called a pre-order.

Well, you said you "wanted to buy it tonight." I'm used to people just saying "I wanted to pre-order it"...

But aren't they in Austalian currency?
I dunno, because I always get my brother to buy the game and ship me the cd.

NBA-LIVE is the only game i play, which make it so hard for me to wait for aussie release date. i have to pay extra for shipping BTW.

Yeah, I meant $70AUS and $99.95AUS. I'm talking about K-Mart and Big W and EB - online stores probably have better prices.

It'll probably be about 50 euros in europe too. All the new PC games cost 50 euros here in finland. Console games cost even more, I haven't really followed, but something like 60-70 euros.

It really doesn't matter how much it costs, I'm gonna buy it.

$70AUS is probably the equivalent of $14US.

Just a little joke about the weakness of the Australian dollar. God, i'm hilarious. And those jokes have not been done anywhere near enough.

Not quite as low as $14, but the exchange rate is still pretty poor. :(
