i know i know this is an NBA Live forum, but just thought i'd fill you guys in on the competitors.

I look out for other ball games as much as i do live and if anyone cares to see what live is coming up against, heres a link to an espn vid.

http://gamepro.com/downloads/file_middl ... le_id=4829

it looks amazing to me.. i prefer their graphics than live's.. they looks way more realistic instead of looking like cartoon characters (which is what Live appears to be in my eyes) ..

somethings to watch for:

watch the alley-oop lobs...their not football passes.
watch for when a player is dribbling or shooting, their jersey's move

what do you guys think..

Have you played 2k3, the animation was shorrible but atleast you can see them sweat. I played it with my friend and we were like WTF is up with these robots. The video looks good, but we all know that those videos always look better than the gameplay. If anything, Live had the best animation, 2k best graphics (except for live 2003 pc-i'm bias  ), id had probably the best gameplay.

yeah i know what you mean, cuz i have 2k3. i agree with you totally accept for the id part, cuz i havent played inside drive yet. but im probably going to end up buying 2k before live as usual until i feel live is way past them. because personally, even though 2k3 was much too slow, i preferred it over live 2003 just because you could actually move around the ball without getting 60 turnovers a game. haha. well, maybe this year live will make a comeback...

In Live 2003 it was a trade off--the human player would shoot high percentages while the computer stole the hell out of the ball--it was basically a battle of playing smart because you knew it was coming. I prefer, Live on the PC. But when my boys are hanging out--we will usually play on the x box--in our apt last year it was definetly more fun playing live multiplayer.

it was cool though b/c my 2 roomates and i had a PC franchise going. We added ourselves in the future drafts and whatnot--very cool.

live was great before i had it to myself. i would play it at my friends house and it was crazy. but after playing franchise alone, it wasnt what it was cracked up to be. i prefer live wen it comes to multi-playing because its all fun, and can get really competitive. but 2k is more fun wen im by myself because when facing the computer, i like to choose my own momentum and not have to run down court and score before the ball gets stollen.. thats why i always end up getting both games.. October's gonna be so great.

NBA Live 2003 was definitly the best game I've ever played, for playing with someone. Since all me and my friends ever want to do is fast break we do just that and score things like 145-138 in 6 minutes quarters, because we never hold ontp the ball for more than 8 seconds.
