Is there any word about bringing back the custom team option?

I hope they do so we can add the Bobcats in the game.

There hasn't been any mention of custom teams in any of the previews. I'm not expecting custom teams to be in the game, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if they were.

I really hope there is a cusom team. That would be really fun to make your own team and stuff like that. But like andrew said:

Is there a way to send our opinions to EA? So, we could ask them to insert the custom team option. Although they would pay little attention to our pleas...

I remember Andrew saying that they recieve 1000's of e-mails a day or something so there is more of a chance of them reading it here than if you e-mail them. Andrew said something like that....

I think it was either Yohance or Metsis that said that. I said that EA won't just put something in the game because you email them asking for it.

Well, I've been playing madden 2004 on the pc lately and I must say their custom team system is quite good. You can actually name and customize your own stadium with many design and layout options. Their jersey creation feature is also quite detailed.
I personally don't understand why so much more work is put into the madden series than live. The madden series has always being much more polished and meticulously designed than live. It saddens me as I am a much greater fan of basketball and one can only hope that our wishes will perhaps be maybe granted sometime in the probably near future.... maybe.

And the two games are so differently made, yet are made 2 minutes from each other?

I think custom team is a great option. It's one of the main reasons I still play NBA 2000.

Different teams do different things. EA has obviously noticed the success Madden as enjoyed just because of it's multi-season-mode... And now they are trying to copy that success into their other releases as well.
I didn't say that a single e-mail won't be read. I just said that a wishlist coming from a community carries so much more weight then a single email. There are dozens of us active people here on the Live 2004 General Issues writing in almost daily and most of us have been fans for multitude of years already (I personally enjoyed playing Live 95). We are an active forum and we have multiple takes on everything. We shake out the bad suggestions from the good suggestions. They won't change a game to please a person, but a forum of hundreds of people is another thing.
We know what we want out of the game and we know what appeals again and again about the game to all of us hard core fans. And this is the reason why EA should listen to us.
BTW Andrew, when Live 2004 comes out, could your post the sent wishlist on these boards so that we can see if we did get anything in the game? It would be cool to check out.

I don't know about you guys, but the NBA Live series has probably one of the largest members within a community for a game. Maybge it's just me, but that's what it feels like.
I myself enjoy reading wishlists for the next Live to come out and pointing out what items are included into the latest Live game from the previous wishlist. So what Metsis proposed could actually be interesting.

Actually, I meant to do that when I launched the NBA Live 2004 subsite.

Back in the days of NBA Live 99 the NLSC also did a Wishlist Comparison, perhaps I could do that as well.

Exactly! I wish they had all the International teams in the game, eg. USA, Canada, Argentina....I'd love to play as Team USA

The wishlist is somewhere on these forums, even in the Live 2004 General Issues, I was just hoping that you would post it again when the game came out so that we could all see what we proposed again and what is in the game... And if you can manage to find the wishlist for 2003, well that could be intresting to see too, to see if our wishes come true with a little delay, if there is next to nothing implemented from the Live 2004 wishlist.
I would definately check it out...

Yeah, it's a sticky over in the Wishlist forum, but it's always been posted on the main site in the past, so I'll definitely add it to the NBA Live 2004 section.
There wasn't a wishlist for NBA Live 2002 or NBA Live 2003, just posts in the Wishlist section in the old forum.
