exactly, but then it is in our nature to be critical, considering how much time we spend speculating on what's in the game and what's not.

No Magic players bounced the ball off of Boozer's head.

lol

Yeah but if the gameplay sucks, then we will have an alternative. We could sim our way through and try to win from a gm/owner's perspective. It adds depth to the game imo

The NBA store would be nice, if you could actually field your players in the franchise with the gear you buy. Maybe via the edit player screen to change the kicks and shorts and head bands etc. So you could customise the players look to fit more to your liking. That would be cool.

Also what would be cool would be if a player with a nike contract would wear nike stuff on the court. Maybe having new kicks each year as nike comes up with new products, but this is again quite far fetching.

Kind of reminds me of my idea about the multiple announcer teams... Another good idea for merchandising the product.

I don't like Sliders, I generally screw things up. When the game comes out, could someone post the best position for each slider to be in for 6 min quarters to get realistic scores. I don't give a damn about %'s, I just like realistic scores.

So there will be several different sliders for each rating? Not just one?

of course how the hell do you control the game wit only 1 slider?

i hope there is lots of sliders 4 almost everything, not just hte major things but some of the little things, because those little things make up a basketball game.

very true, if they gonna put sliders in the game i'd also rather have it put in correctly and quite detailed, but i think they will have, though it of course could cost some other aspects of the game but oh well, i think the game will be good and otherwise it's waiting for 2005 :)

The sliders are not rating related...

For example in NHL there is a slider for AI aggressiveness and that controls how aggressively the AI goes for the puck. And there are sliders for puck too. And sliders for goalies for example how often they give that sweet rebound. Ofcourse there are sliders for game speed and shot accuracy and hitting, but the sliders control other things as well. And you can't control everything with the sliders.

Trust me, they make the game a lot better and we'll just have to wait and see what they eventually control.

And of course there is also that u can adapt ur own style of play to make the game better, i know 2003 is an arcade game, but after a while u also learn to slow down the game(or at least try)and the scores are a little lower, i still consider it as a fun run and gun game though it's not a great sim, i still like 2003

It would have been possible to just have one that lower/higher all the rating

Swoosh

The thing with Live 2003 wasn't that it was a fastbreak run and gun game....it was pure cheese!!! There was no fastbreak it was only the SG or SF running towards his basket after you missed a shot. It frustrated me that there was no fastbreak! No one filled lanes or ran a AI scripted fast break they gaurds just ran to the basket as fast as they could!

I wanted to see 2 on 1, 3 on 1 3 on 2 breaks exucted with players filling lanes and actually playing like basketball instead of run towards the basket and get a fullcourt pass for a dunk!

2003 was no different than 2002 AI wise....same ole off the ball AI....which actually might change this year!

That's da way, MJ! Games are just games, right? :D

I am sure you have lots of fun playing NBA LIVE 2003 or any other games out there. People like myself get so frustrated everytime we play LIVE 2003 because we want realistic scores, rebouds, assists, steals, blocks, FG%, FT%, 3PT%, number of 3 pointers taken, shot distribution, fouls ...etc etc.. (And of course, nice graphics are taken for granted)

We won't have to tweak ratings, since they'll be sliders. We can make adjustments to the gameplay without touching a single rating.

What is "sliders", explain please. I have not heard anything about that.

you can tweak player speed, steal rating, dunk percentage, layup percentage, 3pt percentage, close shot percentage, etc. that's what i got from nba2k3, i think they're similar to live 2004
