does anyone know

This is usually one of the best kept secrets concerning Live games so don't expect anyone to know.
Cause they used this new ten-man freestyle system it could be more players then one, but as I said nobody knows...
Your guess is as good as mine...

I think it will be a different cover depending on the country like they do qith FIFAs. In Spain, Raul Lopez (the Jazz's PG) will be on the cover, and probably Parker in the French edition.

i heard itz Yao and T-Mac but i'm not sure...

They should do a throwback to Live 95 when they had a real NBA game shot as cover. As well in 96.

I would say McGrady( 1st in season scoring).
I hope it's not Lebron James. We hardly seen the man play.

McGrady and Yao...

I would not be suprised at all if LeBron was in the cover...
I hope it's Amare Stoudemore, or Paul Pierce.
Just a note: I hope it isn't Yao...

David Stern perhaps?

just kidding...
Maybe it's Yao Ming. T-Mac has already been on the cover of a basketball game ( not NBA live though)

Whomever they can sign a contract with. You guys do know it doesn't depend on which is the better player (well, on some level it does, but...), they steal need to sign a deal with that player. LeBron James is out of question, he hasn't even played in the NBA (outside of the summer league). Since EA's website has Yao and T-Mac on it, there's a pretty good chance they'll be on the cover. But for NHL2004 for example, they put Heatley on the cover after showing another player on the website for weeks. (I forgot who it was)

They could be on the cover, but it's because they've already been prominently features on the official website that I'm guessing it won't be them.

I doubt it. The FIFA series can do that as they use international teams, but since the NBA is a national league, they'll most likely use a recognisable player for all versions of the game.

But they can do different covers for each country. In example, the Spanish edition would have Raul Lopez with the Jazz jersey, and Parker would appear in the French cover with the Spurs shirt.

Interesting link... Thanks Carlos... Maybe this year the Live series will get a handful of covers... Yao for China, Lopez for Spain (maybe Gasol?), Parker for France, Nenê for Brazil... Australia?

Here is the
article as crudely translated by google:
"As if of a draftee he stars treated, the player of Spanish basketball, Raul Lopez, has signed an agreement with EA SPORTS to be the image in the Spanish market of the last edition of one of the more famous licenses of videojuegos of the world: NBA Live. Electronic Arts and Raul Lopez have united their forces to equip with a sign of own identity to the game in our country. For EA SPORTS it is a pride that a player of the category of Raul Lopez has acceded to be the image of videojuego more sold and of greater quality than he recreates the basketball of the NBA. NBA Live 2004 will arrive at the Spanish market of the hand of the player in the middle of the next October for platforms PCCD, Castilian PS2 and XBOX doubled and translated to and, for GameCube translated the Castilian. This new edition will count as much on surprising new features in the graphical chapter, the movements of the players and the section of artificial intelligence of such. Nevertheless, it is will not be the only surprise of the exclusive product for the Spanish market. In previous editions, the NBA Live has counted with the image of very excellent players of the NBA, like: Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan or Jason Kidd. Raul Lopez, bases of 23 years, was chosen in the Draft 2001 of the NBA in the position number 24 (first round), by the Utah Jazz. After remaining one more a campaign in Real Madrid, the player signed contract by the equipment of Salt Lake City in September of the last year, and has permencido in target season 2002-2003 recovering of an injury in the knee"
The NHL series has had different covers for various countries in the past as well...

As deduced by the expert panel of Jonesy, Dr. Seth and Benji...it's obviously Stephon Marbury on the US cover...
Wed Jul 30, 2003 5:51 pm
Yeah, after seeing the preview of the cover I'd say Marbury would be a good bet.

As an Aussie, I don't really want to see David Anderson on the cover. Not a pretty sight. I wish Michael Jordan would be on the cover, NBA Live's tribute to MJ, but I think T-Mac will be on the cover.

Thu Jul 31, 2003 2:13 am

David Anderson hasn't actually played in the NBA yet, if I recall correctly. We'll probably have the same cover as the US version.
