Why doesnt live have the same offseason as madden?

madden's off season is suburb and live should make htiers the same if not better.. who agrees... i think even if live made the off season liek madden 2003 (let alone 2004) that it would be a BIG step

I haven't played Madden 2003 so I can't comment specifically but I hear its Franchise Mode is pretty detailed. I remain optimistic that NBA Live 2004's Dynasty Mode will live up to expectations - hopefully some more details are released soon.

yup, pretty detailed. they got salary cap in dollars and their players have agents to deal with you with their contracts.

These are both just semantics... You can calculate the numbers right with a simple calculator and the wise thing would be that the points system would go. I hope that NBPA has given up on that issue.

Agents... Is there a difference in which agent you are talking to? The whole agent system could be just smoke and mirrors made to make it appear that the players had real agents.

(I've never played Madden 2003 so don't get too angry at my comments about it)

I want to see something that is not just numbers and text. I want to see new parts in the game. Like happiness etc. That are currently missing from the game and that really count into a players performance and contract negotiations. I want to see the team playing styles give bonuses and minuses to players... I want to see a difference in everyones stats when I bring in Jason Kidd! I want feel like I'm making a difference with my decisions. And that's the bottom line... That's what I want.

exactly what im sayin... i want to feel like im makin a difference... exactly happiness would be great... and they should have different agents.. some should be more difficult than others

a madden offseason on live would be an improvement

scouting reports should be more realistic to the players.if a player "turns the ball over with regularity" then he should lose his dribble for no reason sometimes, even if a defender hasn't touched him, or his passes should be off the mark every now and then, not just with a defender reaching up in the air and intercepting, but kicking the ball out to a wide open teammate and the pass sailing wide and out of bounds or something.

These are the prime of the crop... The players that are in the draft each year.

There really shouldn't be that much errant passes or dribbling on your foot in the game... No player in the league is really that bad. Maybe an errant behind the back pass from a center or something, but not with the guards.

I say this again... The NBA draft holds the very best players in the world each year (young ones I mean) and only around 70 players end up in the draft each year. There really shouldn't be any guys that bad in the draft. All should have their fundamentals pretty alright. So there really shouldn't be any players that have overalls in the 50's range. And some good players come out of the second round and some super-stars even come in undrafted like Big Ben. Someone had said to him in Washington that he would never become a good NBA player and look at him now.

The scouting reports need to change... The off-season needs to change, but I'm confident that there will be changes made, but we'll just have to wait for the time details get released about the Live dynasty mode.

like i said in one of the other posts, i think the scouting reports could be more in depth by spending money to schedule workouts for draftees and the more you work them out, the more you uncover about them and their developement level would change too...could go from shows promise, to could become a star...this was very well done in nba 2k3 (which also had europian and asian players and had an nba player comparisson for every draftee) the only problem was, you could not see what the person you were drafting looked like, wether he was white, black, had a head band, wristband, skinny, built.. etc

I'd like to have an ability to add my own players in the draft without DBF editing (I hate seeing those EA generic players each time because they look alike.. and also deformed)

yeah, my point is more that the reports should be more realistic. you won't see too many players making lots of unforced errors, but by the scouting comments of some that's what should happen. they need to be more accurate for the individual. those were just off the head examples, but guys with those exact comments don't turn the ball over any more than the other players. or a guy who puts tons of points on the board, will score 10-12 points. that's decent for a rookie, but it's not tons of points.

yea i juist hope ea would look at the other games.. and take a little from all of them.. put it together and make a great dynasty mode.. the madden one would keep u there for madd years
