Players' name missing at the back

All the players' names become "AAAAAAAAAA" at the back of the jerseys.
Their names do show up only during auto-replay screen.
What can I do??

Is your video card supported by NBA Live 2004? If it is, try updating your video card drivers. If that doesn't work, the Official Patch from EA should fix the problem.

I have the same problem and I did install the patch.

I have a brand new computer so I don't believe the driver/video card issue is the case here.

The AAAAA returns to normal names when I get close up to the player.

I have posted the settings to max except for the bench, and have installed the patch. I still have player names that read "AAAAAAAAAAA". My computer is brand new so the graphic card should handle. Any suggestions on how to fix?

As Andrew said- update your video card drivers.

Having a 'brand new' computer doesn't mean you don't need to update your drivers. It also doesn't mean your on-board graphic card is enough to handle the game.
