Marv is also good. They should have let them record tons of player specfic commentries. I think EA mentioned that they did...live 2003 has it..so why not 2004?

I hope Marv and The Czar will poke fun at each other. With any other guys it would seem weak, but with these guys it's part of their schtick (sp?).

Harlan is pretty good, but Marv is legendary. It would be cool if they had more than one set of commentators; I might even be willing to suffer a higher sticker price for that.

Think of how EA could milk the money from the different TV networks. They could use the real NBA basket ball broad casters and networks and could get commentary from all the real commentators. Add a few network logos to the beginning and saying "tonights game is brought to you by espn" etc. The commentary would certainly take a lot of work, but this would be a nice money maker for EA and good publicity to the networks.

Maybe even use the networks graphics for displaying some key figures from the game. It would really make it feel more like you were watching a game from TV. And the different commentators would certainly bring a fresh touch to the game, when you wouldn't have to hear the same comments every game.

I like that idea too. Commentary in a sports sim is always going to get repetitive after a while, but that would be a nice way of mixing it up from game to game.

I believe it may be a nickname from way back when he played (I think he was in the league, i'm pretty sure I saw in him slam as an 'old-school') or from when he coached.

Commentary in a sports sim is always going to get repetitive after a while, but that would be a nice way of mixing it up from game to game.

The good thing about Marv Albert, is he's repetitive anyway, so it won't be as noticable. As long as points in the paint isn't the key to every game, I'll be a little happier.

I am no so sure about that... Who would be paying to who??? The networks would get publicity and the game would benefit from different kinds of color commentary.

It was just a thought... A sports channel in finland has shown some NBA games this spring and most of them have been from abc, but from other networks as well like espn etc.

It would be a lot of work, but maybe in the future...
