2 questions on dynasty DBF editing

I have DBC, and I wanted to know...

If I create someone in the "rookie team", they'll be in the next draft? How do I fill the salary and all those that aren't ratings?

Can I make the CPU sign free agents during the offseason? If so, how?

To answer the first question, yes and no. If you're in the offseason, no. But if you start the new season and the player is still available, you can make the CPU team sign it. Once again, you'll have to change to the TEAM from 28 (which is for free agents) to whichever number to team is.

As for your first question, what do you mean by "rookie team"? Do you mean the number 39 in the team IDs. If so, I don't know. I've never tried it before.

You mean what salary do you give them? Whatever the CPU team can give them, I would presume.

But I've never done that before, so I don't know. Maybe I'll try it out sometime.
