How to stop this bumping...?

Sun Dec 04, 2005 11:22 am

I'm pretty new to Live 2004. Normally, I play 2003 and do not want to buy 2005 or 2006 yet (no money, no time) so I bought 2004 from a friend...and got it very cheaply.

I use Andrew's sliders. But this bumping is pretty annoying. I can take threes. I can post up, back down and do a hook shot but this is all I can do. The guards can't dribble, the cpu-player bumps into me and pushes me away all the time. So I cannot even move forward, I'm always pushed behind the three-point-line. I can pass...AROUND the line. Or pass to a PF or C. But then I can only do a hookshot. I cannot dribble, I cannot move as the CPU-player guarding me bumps into me all the time and pushes me away. Or I just stand there and cannot move a bit due to this bumping stuff. Freestyle doesn't work either. I cannot run past a defender, the whole play is so static. I can pass but cannot run...due to this bumping stuff. How can I change this?

Ok, I set on-ball physical defense to 0 both for user and cpu.
I played vs. the Nets, with the Knicks. Double-overtime...lost by 2.

Without the on-ball physical defense it is better playable.

What still sucks:

PGs grabing so many rebounds. Marbury had 9. As many as Kurt Thomas.
This shot-adjust stuff. Players adjust their shots and do not dunk although they could. And I often press the shot button as I was used to in Live 2003. So I miss loads of shots under the basket because I press only shot instead of dunk/layup.

The last reason in your second post isn't really the games fault, you just have to get used to it.
