95/96 roster patch problem!

This appears when I open the official patch from easports.com/nbalive2004.

"Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file content do not match."

I assume this is why I also get the weird jerseys, ghost faces aso.
Enabled CustomArt...

Then you have the game cracked. Put the original file that was installed to your folder back there again, and try it again. If it still doesn't work, try this link. Then click "Check For Patch".

I've experienced the same problem just some days ago, when I reinstalled the game. And with the link above my problem has been solved.

So, are you saying I have to get the game cracked, and then use the patch, or use the patch on the original nba2004.exe from the installaton of the game?? I haven't cracked the game yet.
Also tried to reinstall the game and then use the patch yesterday... No improvement..!

There.. It works!! Downloaded the patch a 2nd time and it's running..

But the game crashes when i quit a ongoing game, or start a 1on1 game...?

I don't know exactly. Must be Windows problems.

i use the nba live application cracked and without cd and when i use 95/96 the game crashes jsut before i begins to load the court. Is it conflicting with the application file that is cracked? is the 95/96 that i got from nscl official?

the patch don't work with a cracked game.

The 95/96 patch is an unofficial add-on, but it does use CustomArt so it requires the official patch. As Alexboom said, the official patch does not work with an illegal version of the game.
