User On-ball Defense Assist

What does this do? Like.. what is the difference during the game when having it at 0 or 100.
Also, is there ANY way to make your teammates contest a shot against the opponents? They
stand there and do nothing and the three pointer nearly always goes in. I always control the
Center or Forward, so sometimes I don't have time to run to their position.. it's really annoying.

If you set User defense assist to 100, i guarnetee you without much work you could shut down Tracy Mcgrady with Rodney Rodgers, it basically makes the computer stick to the man on defense with whom you are controlling. I set it at zero so then i have to work to stop the man from scoring.
