Online game crashes NBA Live 2004

I can login to EASports with my account and see tournaments, but once I try to go matchup lobby, I get stuck trying to connect to EA servers. Once I cancel this transaction, NBA Live crashes. It also crashes in various CLOSE buttons within the Online arena.

with live 2004? the ea sports online service is down for that game now. you should only be able to play live 2004 online through direct connection now.
