Problem with jersey names

I recently installed NBA Live 2004 for the first time. I patched it and applied no cd crack. Is there some reason why are all names on jerseys "aaaaaaaa" or is it supposed to be like that?

That issue is meant to be resolved by the official patch. Are you trying to run the disc version from Windows 10?

No. I'm using Win 7 32 bit.

Then you should be able to run the game from the disc, as long as you use this fix.

Normally discussing No CD cracks is against our rules, but since it's a viable workaround for games that use the old copy protection method that's no longer supported in Windows 10 (and was disabled by default in an update for Windows 7 and 8.1), we let it slide as long as people are using it with a legal copy of the game.

The issue you're describing was addressed by the official patch (for most people, anyway), so I'd recommend restoring the original exe file, installing the official patch, and using the above fix to run it from the disc.
