How to defend PG shots from 3 meters against human?

My friend is killing me with these shots. Nash is averaging 50 pts per game against me.

Why is nash even getting within 3 feet of the hoop?
Here's a tip, Nash is right handed right? I find that being left and right handed in the game helps alot, Hold "down" on the right analog and don't be all up on him when he's at the arc. Give space, and never stay directly infront of the player your defending, your just asking to get left behind, study which way he likes to go, with Nash, he'll probably freestyle to the right cause Nash's left freestyle is somewhat awkward and slower.
So stay a little's way back and to the right when defending, it will alwalys nock him back, when he goes left, it will be slower so you can easily recover, this way, he wont even get within 3 feet! =)
I found almost all exploits and I have found something even better, a way to defend all exploits! =)

Try turning up the difficulty setting and lowering the close range shot slider.
Also, when he gets close to the hoop, hold the right analog stick in the up direction. That'll make the defender raise his arms making it tougher for the player to make the shot.
