NBA CHAMPIONSHIP & FINALS TEAMS - Roster

Hey guys (NLSC Team)!
Thanks for all the awesome work in regards to rosters and everything else you guys have been holding down for so long. The game is NOTHING without yaz - NOTHING!

Just wanted to request a roster patch that has all the teams that have:
* Made it to the NBA Finals in the last 15 years.
NOTE: if a particular franchise has made it to the finals on more than 1 particular occasion, perhaps the BEST team (record wise, or general opinon) can be included. Eg: The 70+win Chicago Bulls, and first 3peat Bulls in 93.

So the list may include.

1998-99 San Antonio Spurs/New York Knicks

something like this was made on nba live 2003. called the historic patch. the maker of the patch. posted a thread. im not sure if its was here or nbalive.org and said he is trying to convert the patch to 2004

This patch would be awesome, but I just don't have the time to work on another roster patch at the moment. If the historic patch is being converted for use with NBA Live 2004, that would be awesome. I haven't heard from Don Daily in a while though.

i'm working on something similar to this. my concept was to take the 29 NBA teams and include that franchise's greatest team since 1983. that was the year that i started watching basketball. in doing this though i recognized that a few great teams would be left off like the 2000 lakers or the 1993 bulls (i originally included the 1996 bulls and the '88 lakers instead) so i am going to include a few extras. when i'm done i'm going to have a "classic" roster set that only has historic teams.

i'm using Andrew's latest roster update as a base with the '86 celts and the '96 bulls and updated the ratings. these are the teams i'm including:

83 PHI
86 BOS
88 LAL
90 DET
92 POR
93 CHI
93 PHO
94 NY
95 HOU
95 SA
96 CHI
96 SEA
98 UTA
99 SA
00 LAL
00 IND
01 PHI
03 SA
03 NJ

if you have any other teams to request just list them here.

this is my first roster patch so for now i'm focusing on getting players and ratings correct, once i'm done with that i'll add team records and possibly coaches. all teams will have correct jerseys (where possible).

I don't mean to sound arrogant or egotistical, but I would have appreciated it if you had asked me first. When using another patchmaker's work, it is considered courtesy in our community to ask them first.

But as it happens, I don't mind you using the current roster as a base for a greatest teams patch - it sounds like a great project!

hey Andrew my bad I didn't realize that was a breach of etiquette. honestly i guess it didn't even really occur to me. i downloaded your roster and then when i saw the old teams i decided to some of my own. i never really planned on letting any one else look at it since i've never done a patch before. hell i only bought the pc version like a week ago.

before i send it to anyone else, i'll send it to you and get your stamp of approval. i appreciate you being cool about it and again i apologize. it won't happen in the future.

No harm done. As long as you put a note in the credits saying that my current roster update was the base, there's no problem at all. If you like, I'd be happy to help you compile the installation and host it for you once the roster is completed.
