If you don't wanna spend money on buying hardware to update your computer, you still can get NBA Live 2000 which would run pretty smoothly on your computer. But here, it seems that your computer doesn't have the minimum required to run NBA Live 2004.

Holy crap your computer is ancient! :?

If you want to have a computer that's equal or better than your xbox you better be willing to spend a decent amount of cash since xbox games are actually quite impressive (anyone play the new Ninja Gaiden?)

Here's what I think is a good deal right now:
CPU: AMD Athlon xp 2500+ (very cheap right now and decently fast)
Memory: At least 1GB of DDR333 or DDR400
Motherboard: Preferably any motherboard with an nforce2 chipset or higher
Hard Drive: at least 120GB
Graphics card: ATI Radeon 9800pro

This is pretty much what you need in terms of core parts.
The parts I listed above will go for around $900CAD so around $650US.
I'm sure a system liek this should handle just about anything you throw at it at the moment and can hold a hell of a lot more games than 1 like yours right now ;)
