In Game Injury Problem

Wed Apr 14, 2004 4:45 am

Hey guys i need your help.....

I don't get any injuries in my games anymore.
Tried setting the injury slider to 0 to 50 to 100 (thought it may be reversed) but nothing helps.

The problem is with some other sliders i played before i got almost 1 injury per game , but since i tweaked the sliders for my taste i must have messed something up.

Injury currently at 100
Fatigue at 55

Is the cpu physical defense affecting injuries ? Currently have it at 50.
Are there fewer injuries at superstar level , cuz i changed that too ?

Any ideas ?

id say its a great thing that you arent getting 1 injury per game, i mean, injuries do not happen 1 per game at all in the nba.

It really depends on the situation. Players with a lower Hardiness rating are more likely to be injured both in simulation and in gameplay. Players with high strength ratings seem to be more likely to injure players. I've noticed that injuries seem to occur slightly more often when you are fouled on an adjusted shot, or when you are hit hard going up for a dunk. Attempting layups usually just results in a shot block or a shooting foul. Dunking in traffic when there's a strong big man lurking in the lane often results in injury as well.

It just depends on your offensive game. If you take a lot of jumpers, you won't get as many injuries, just as you won't get as many free throw attempts. If you constantly pound the ball inside, you're more likely to have your players sustain injuries as they mix it up in the paint.

Are the Hardiness levels in that new roster lower than in the original?

For some players, but not in general. A greater number of injuries with the latest roster update is purely coincidental.
