Sick and tired of "connection error"

I don't know how bad you all have it, but I can't complete a game online. Seriously, maybe one out of every ten games I can play straight through without the connection crapping out. It's always the same stupid "a connection error occurred" error, where it thinks one player dropped (usually me!) after a big play. WTH is going on? It seems to have gotten progressively worse over time to the point where, as I mentioned, I almost never complete a game.

IM SICK & TIRED OF BEING SICK & TIRED!
I have stopped wasting my time playing online, the time i used to waste with 'connection errors' i now spend patching. Granted, im pretty crap at patching, but i aint getting no 'connection errors'
. I had really hoped that they would have fixed a few possible causes/errors with the Patch, """but no, 1 older brother had to go and screw it up""" i should have known better and i forgot it was EA!

I understand what your going through. I mostly just try to play my buddy that lives cross town and EVERY and I mean EVERY time we try to get a game going online we get a connection error. I thought it was just cause of their shitty servers and lo and behold we played a game IP to IP and voila' we got the same thing. This crap started for us damn near 6 weeks ago. Anyway I glad I'm not paying to play online cause theny I'd be really mad. I'm beginning to think that this Free Play for a year stuff is really just a mass online BETA testing 
so they can work the bugs out for next year when they start charging.
Seriously though I think EA is having some problems cause I bought MVP Baseball for the Pc last week and those dumbnuts didn't even put a game time card in the box. I had to e mail them so they would extend my time past the 2 weeks that came with the game for free. Then when I played the game online I find out that you cant steal a base with a baserunner without the game restarting to the beginning of the game. All in all though its still a more quality game than Nba Live 2004.

Hmmm... I've played directIP with my friend a few times, and we never finished a game because we would always quit first. Yesterday however we finished a 5 minute quarters game (I don't know if this makes a difference) I have never had that error before.
