Say I'm using the Indiana Pacers and got Harrington coming off the bench. How does he average 31.2 minutes off the bench when J. O'neal averages 36.3 and Artest 37.9 minutes each. Same thing with Antawn Jamison who averages 29.8 minutes off the bench when A. Walker averages 37.6 and Nowitzki 38.4.

It depends on how you play positions as to who gets more minutes. Lets say I use the Lakers. I play 10 min. quarters which totals 40 min. per game. Shaq plays 36 minutes, Malone plays 30 minutes, Medvedenko plays 4 of Shaq's minutes and 10 of Malone's minutes so he plays 14 min. per game splitting time with the big two. This way Shaq gets a ton of minutes and Medvedenko can actually get some playing time

i play with the Grizzlies in my dynasty on the 12 min quarters. I use the same rotation they use in real life. My starters Bonzi, Miller and Wright play the 1st 7 mins then i take Jwill and Pau out at the 3 min mark or 2 min mark. then i put my starters back in at the 6 min mark in the 2nd quarter and leave them in there and do the same thing the 2nd half.

With auto-subs you won't get realistic minute numbers. It's because the game doesn't change the ingame lineup after a substitution. Let me explain it.
In real, let's say the Mavs starting lineup looks this way
C Fortson
PF Nowitzki
SF Walker
SG FInley
PG Nash
After a few minutes, Jamison comes in for Fortson, but doesn't get his C position, cause Nowitzki switches C and Walker PF.
The game doesn't do that.

i use the pacers too........in real life JO plays the the center position during the game as well.......and harrington can play both 3 and 4 spot......so sometimes i have JO at 4, harrington at 3, and artest at 2.....reggie only aveages like 30 min per game......or sometimes i have JO at 5, harringtn at 4, artest at 3, and fred jones at 2.....sooo yea if u want realistic minutes just watch some pacers games and see how they rotate.....pretty interesting

I use squads. First team/Second team. Yeah, I usally lose my big lead with my scrubs, but they're good enough (San Antonio). Playing 8 min. quarters, (32 total) the starters usually get 20 minutes each and 12 for the second squad.
I feel kinda bad for the benchwarmers. Guess I wouldn't make a good coach.

I've developed a fairly consistent rotation, though it changes depending on fouls, fatigue and whether someone isn't playing very well. The first eight players on my roster get the most minutes, as I often insert players into their secondary position rather than going with a complete second unit or drawing from my deep bench.
