Marv/Mike won't say the names of rookies from draft class

Why won't they say the names of the rookies from the draft classes in dynasty mode? Even though their names are common like Camby, Knight. If Madden can do it why can't NBA Live.:(

maybe they didnt have time to include that in the game or something...

and I agree with you, they should say their names at least their last names, but have you looked at the generated rookies first names? They are like Mutombo's middle name...

The names are pretty ridiculous. And they all look stupid as well. They look like they did in the Live 2000 rookie drafts, when the game didnt know any better. Still, this is a very very minor complaint. The rest of dynasty is all good in my book.

i don't think its minor. if in previous lives the commentator would say the last name of a created player with the same last name as real player, then why should EA remove it now? (like a lot of other things that they've removed  ).

it definitely detracts from the gameplay when you're into your 5th season or so on and all you hear is number this number that instead of a name because your roster is becoming increasingly filled with generic players. it's even more disappointing when you know that it wouldn't be that hard to implement.

I agree with that, it was my own complaint that i was dismissing as being minor.
It is pretty annoying not hearing names. i havent done too much research on this, but what happens to created players with common surnames? i cant be bothered playing the game right now to find out for myself.

I think the problem lies w/ the fact that they bind the 1st & last name of the original players for the speech file ID, so I think that leaves no room for tinkering. Or is there a way?
