hi..
there's something weird in this game.. CPU is unfair. (what a discovery ..)
especially in blocking ability : anytime i go past a cpu player and jumpshoot, it easily comes round me and blocks me.......... THOUGH, i can't even block a last second 3pter even when my timing's good !!!.....
i mean, u know, the clock is running out, u know he's going to shoot, u wait for it, u jump and............. MY GOOOOOD, TRACY MCGRADY MANAGED TO RAISE THE WRONG ARM !.........................
it happend thousands of time. (ok a bit less).
i'm just between the shooter and the basket, my timing's good (after seeing it on replay), but the defender's hand goes just out of the ball trajectory......... WHYYYYYY ??
is there a way to block it 4 sure ?
NB : i'm using NLSC ratings.. so low blocking stat but c'me on....

Adjust blocking ratings.
Adjust your blocking sliders.
Have you done either of these things?

i trusted the NLSC ratings, so sb like mcgrady has got sth like 18 in blocking.. and the block slider is still on 50.
?? having a low blocking rate means that eeeeven if you've got the right timing AND being tall enough to block your opponent, you'll just jump BESIDES the cpu shooter ????.... a bit too insane..
is there a better roster then, with more balanced ratings ??..

Blocking dunks is easy, but blocking the regular shots can be quite hard... Blocking a regular shot should be quite hard.
How to block a shot: Get as close to the player as you can who is about to shoot. You must be facing the player that is about to shoot. I've found out that when a player is not facing the shooter a block is rarely made. Third thing you gotta do is to make sure that the player you are playing is standing "still" so he won't jump off the course of the ball. And with correct timing and a guy that is tall and long you should be able to block with some ease.
You can't block everything in Live 2004. You could almost do that in Live 2003.

that's exactely what i'm doing : standing still between the cpu player and the basket, waiting and jumping sliiiightly after the cpu jumps............. (btw, when do u start jumping ?? simulaneously or slightly later ?)
tracy should be able to block any other SG this way......... buuut he jumps too much on his right almost every time... ......

That's the point, you don't get so many blocks as in Live 2003. The blocking stats are decent for me.

ok for the final stats, but i mean there's no point in having Lafrentz under the basket and getting 90% of the team blocks, when McGrady gets just 1 block out of 20 tries.........
which is finally even more unrealistic......

No one can tailor the ratings to your specific style of play but you. The only way to get things just right is for you to make adjustments to the esliders or ratings as you see fit. If you haven't adjusted the blocking ratings or sliders please do that before you ask for more help...because that's really all we can tell you to do.

ok ok........
it's just that i thought somebody who made up these rating (or who agrees with it) would give me their opinion.. AND explain me why my players jump BESIDES the cpu shooting player (see 1st post)... if it's just because of the ratings, ok then..
huum, is there a way to increase a particular rating of ALL players BY PERCENTAGE ??? (increasing by 20% and not by 20 points for example)
