Updating Rosters in a Dynasty

Postby singharv on Tue Jan 06, 2004 9:08 am

I have starter a dynasty and want to update the roseters so that the players involved in the New York and Phoenix deal are on their new teams. I used the DB Commander and opened up players.dbf in the dynasty save slot. I then changed the orig team and team section to the new teams value. The problem is the players appear in the trade section but not in the reorder roster section. How do I get these players on their proper teams?

you would have to go through the players for each of the teams, all the players on the orster and make sure they are in thier correct roster position, e.g. you would have to put Starbury at roster position number 4, this can be done in the players DBF. Also make sure you do if for players that didnt get traded but their roster position will change due to the new players coming in.

Hope you can understand what i said.

I don't recommend doing it unless you're familiar with DBF editing. I also recommend that you make a backup of your Dynasty before you start messing around with any of the DBF files.

I recommend DBF Commander.

The Players.dbf Editing Guide should give you an idea of which fields to change, as well as providing a list of team codes.

Is there an easier way to change the roster during a started dynasty then?

You could copy the updated DBF files to your Dynasty's save slot, but then you would lose all season data.
