Some perhaps think I am stupid, but I didn't find something with the search option. What exactly is the quickness rating of a player for? What does it affect? Thx.

Maybe...acceleration?

it affects how quick you are...

This is just between you and me, but there's some people that's quick and there's others that's not as quick
And this may be hard to believe, but if you have a high quickness rating, then you're probably quicker than others who have lower quickness ratings.
Call me crazy, but quickness rating determines the

quickness of that player.

Quickness- More like how fast the players first step is. There is a speed rating which is the players maximum speed once he gets going, and quickness would be how fast "he gets off the block"

Quickness also works in defense, I think, isn't it?

Yes. Speed is foot speed, so if you're running down court higher rating makes a player run faster. Quickness is how fast a player moves within a smaller area of space. Danny Fortson is quite slow running, but he's quick to get to rebounds. On defense, quickness helps the player stay with his man. On offense, to confirm Dirtdog, it's the players first step. Again for example, Richard Hamilton is only marginally fast for a shooting guard but he has one of the quickest first steps in the league.

Okay thx. The first time I see the sense of the quickness in Live.

Quickness is the effectiveness of the turbo button... Some players get more out of it then others. I have no idea of what these other guys are talking about, but quickness effects when you kick in the turbo button.
Take LeBron (unmodified) for example. He's got average speed (was it 72 or something) and poor quickness (59 or something). He reall isn't that much of a factor on the fast break as he does not get that much of a bonus to his speed with the turbo button... While players like Kidd, Iverson, Pierce, Marion get a huge boost to their speed due to their high quickness ratings.
Still all the rookies are too slow in the game!!! The average speed of the rookies is probably around 45-50 while all the players in the game (the real players) is over 60... The rookie issues need work and a lot.

That is why I asked. I am modifying Andrew's rosters for my preferences at the moment. But I will not share it to someone other.
