how to update coaches

i wanted to change the coaches of the suns, magic and bulls
anyone know how to do it through the dbf guide

Changing their name is easy. You can also change their height and weight if you wish. I've found that customart causes crashes when using coach face patches, but there are a few generic coach cyberfaces you can use for custom coaches. If you take a look at xcheads.viv using EA Graphics Editor, you'll see what I mean.

Once you have selected a cyberface to use, note its name and update the respective coach's PLAYERPKG value accordingly.

eg. To change Doc Rivers to Johnny Davis:

1. Change his NAME to Davis
2. Change his FNAME to Johny
3. Change his PLAYERPKG to CUSTOMF (or whatever you prefer)
4. You might also want to change his ID7 to 90COACH

by the way what dbf file do u load to make these changes

The most effective way to edit DBF files such as players.dbf and coaches.dbf is to save a roster file, then edit the DBF files in the appropriate save slot. This way, it's easy to load the changes. If you're going to modify the rosters, you should always modify a saved roster file, rather than editing files in the database folders.
