Converting Black and White photos?

What steps do i have to take, and what tools are needed to convert black and white photos to (real) color using PSP7?
I want to make some real old school players, but all the photos i find are in B&W.

Nevermind; I played around for hours with PSP7 and finally got a good mix of color and now have some pretty real facial color.
