colors in the game gamma ?

Postby Shag on Fri Nov 21, 2003 8:22 am

i have a msi geforcefx 5600 128 ram card. i use the 52.70 msi drivers. the colors in the game dont look right. its like the gama is set wrong and the contrast and colors are off. i have no problems with this in any other game but nba live 2004. is this an issue with anybody els? its like the colors are over saturated and washed out. any ideas here? thanx :( other then that the game runs great :?

Some of my courts are way too bright at the half-court line. Ex. Staples' Center is so bright you can barely see the floor textures. This is not an issue with the brightness adjustment.

Adjust ur detail setting 2

Enviroment - MED (this will get rid of the light centre court)
Lighting -HIGH (will give players solid vibrant colors)

Adjust the rest how u want, everybody has forgot that Enviroment adjusts the court as well as the arena. Let me know what u think :?:

i thought you could just put the lighting to low and it fixes it. could be wrong.

EA decided to play with us alittle this year i guess.

nah, they probably used LCD Screens or something.
I noticed EA also doesnt watch the cpu vs cpu play, it seems like.

I personally like putting the Lighting on Low instead of High. The players look TOO glossy and saturated on High.

Or you can download Gerald's (I think) "shiny court update" which removes a bunch of shine and download Severence's jersey update. Worked for me.

Another downside of playing with environment at medium is taht you don't get authentic arenas.

What a shame!!! This guy is talkin about washed out colors and mid court glare, let him complain about that shit l8a :? Game cant be patched 100% yet, errors everywhere. I dont have a problem with my visual set up i can run game max @ 60fps (ish). But post link 2 DL or chuck up screen shots so i can see.
I prefered last yrs arena then 2 years. In 03 when everything set @ max looked alot better, there was more of an atmosphere as well.(could be just me)

Just looked at Shags original post again, u say 'msi 52.70'. U need 52.16 which is latest whql driver from www.nvidia.com. If ne 1 with ATI is runnin 3.8 and having problems, install 3.7. This has solved problems on NFSu & LOTR-ROTK.

Those patches I mentioned both use viv patching, which unless you put a corrupt file in them or something, will not cause a crash. Plus these patches come have a .bat (or they use eazip) so it doesn't take a long time.

And my mistake the patch is by JEN. Sorry if you saw that, it's a great patch.

Yeah...The gamma has some problem, not only the court. Don't u think all players with white shirts look so bright in the game? The patch Jen did is very good solution to the court with annoying bright reflection, but anybody got soution for the bright player shirt?
