I was playing as Portland(reshuffled) and 1st day of season Mutumbo got injured and was out for 8 days. I needed some big man inside presence so I signed Bateer. As I was reordereing my roster, I erroneously put my PG on IL instead of Mutumbo. When I was choosing my starting lineup for my next game I found out Mutumbo was there and available to play. I thought maybe it's just his name showing up in the starting lineup so I started the game and it turned out he was out there on the court jumping the ball for us. As much as I admire his desire to help my team, I was just wondering if anyone's encountered the same bug and yes I did check the injury report and he was supposed to be out for another 3 or 4 days with a red cross besides his name.

it probably because the next game was after 8 days, when his injury lasted 8 days

there are differences between two kind of injury
the serious one is the kind that causes your player cannot play a game

Yea. If the player has a band-aid looking thing next to his name, he is injurred but can play (with reduced ratings), but at risk of further injury.
The red cross in white circle injurries mean a player cant play, and they are automatically put in IR and you can move them out until they reach band-aid (day to day) status.

thanx for the explanation guys
u r exactly right, it's not a bug as Mutumbo has a band-aid like icon beside his name.
