Framerate on ps2 problem

Tue Oct 21, 2003 4:16 am

ok, does anyone else notice that the framerate on ps2 really sucks? Especially during the pro-hop and double team animations? i swear it slows to a crawl... i'm willing to bet somewhere in the neighbourhood of 5 fps. I'm wondering if it's the camera angle i'm using? i use the Press view. I turned auto zoom off cuz i think this was even making it worse.
Normally i don't care if the game bogs a bit here and there. But when Ray Allen goes up for a jump-shot and it starts bogging... it affects his release, which can become really annoying real fast. How do you know when to release the shot if the game engine is skipping frames? This has cost me many a clutch basket.

Send an Email to EA and let them know about it, the more people send Emails regarding this the more they will listen and give us the CD that works like others have.

Its the same way with the xbox version. I never seen a game chop up the xbox so bad as live 2004 does

really? i thought the xbox would be able to handle it.
I guess the animations are totally not optimized properly. It's not like they look like anything special. i'm sure they could have cut some polys out of there.

like i said though, i don't really mind the chop that much. but it's when i'm trying to shoot a jumper... that's when it really p!sses me off.

The Xbox chops when there's a crowd in the lane and someone's shooting. It's not unplayable bad though.
