How's the press camera, is it like a real TV style view or is it too close etc.
And are the net animations any different, better or worse??
Thanks

yea i hope they have more of a variety of cameras and jus plain better camera angles

camera angles don't bother me that much... I like zoomed out ones, not ones really close than you can't see the whole court for like open players and stuff.

That sideline camera is the best... And it always has been. And max zoom out still leaves some of the half-court out of the picture.

I used to be a fan of the Classic camera angle in the earlier Lives, but I like the Press camera angle that was in Live 98-2002. I think it might have been in Live 97 too, but I always used Classic cam.

can you explain to me what is classic cam ? is it similar to the press cam?

Classic Cam is the angle that was used in NBA Live 95 (NBA Live 95 featured only one camera angle).
That screenshot kind of shows the camera angle.

same here... please fix
i like the sideline more then any other in 2003, but that's cuz i feel the the other ones isn't good at all
i remember in 2000 (could have been -01) you could choose to be behind the player with the ball, i used to zoom in max and it would be pretty cool.
like you were there
i wish they would bring that one back

Sorry about that. I thought the file had already been uploaded, but it seems I never put that image online.

i used "baseline high" camera
i started to use this from live 2000 (or 2001, not quite sure)
because i used to play as Pippen only (or called "SF" only) at that time~
this camera makes a best and clearest view on the court
it's the most easiest angle for me to get a rebound, double team a man, etc.
but i think just a few people agree this...

in 1995 (actaully the game released in 1994)
this is the greatest bball game~
at least it included what you said, the hair color of rodman
secondly, you already could change to a high resolution at that time (though you would saw the player being an ant on the screen)
i love this game very much (the 1995). I've learnt how to configure a multiboot system in dos which could free up some memory for me to Play the game ~~
i spent so much time on this and nba jam at that time ~
it's really a wonderful game !

Think of how far have we come... Man playing Live 95 with friends was just sweet. Shaq just mutilated people in it... It was sweet. Basically everyone could shoot the three. "And so it begins..." would be a nice term to attach to that picture.
The graphics were ok enough at that time... Basket ball has always been an addictive type of sport in my mind. And it really doesn't matter if you have little glitch in the scoring department cause teams do rack up points. I remember the first NHL hockey, man you had hard time not scoring 10 goals a game. But back to bball... I remember I played a 12 minute quarter game with a friend of mine (in live 95) and we just scored and scored alot. The game ended in a 236-236 draw at the end of 4th quart. Basically I had 9 people fouled out of the possible 12, but the last two foul outers didn't leave the floor. They were just pretty much out of breath and couldn't amount to anything. My friend still had a couple of subs left and thus he won the game. It was just a crazy game and we played it for something like 2 hours or so. It was just mad.
Man those were the days... (don't mind the old man rambling about the glory days in the corner)

Ya damn skippy its the greatest basketball game!!!
Shit me and my friends still play this and I still school them clowns with Robert Horry!
Oh Yeah you can recognize Avery Johnson in that screen shot.
Thu Sep 11, 2003 3:34 pm
Horry was really good back in those days. I used to school people with Larry Johnson... Just dunking and shooting the three.
It was a very good game... Haven't played it in a while though. Like 7 years or something.
It had a better shooting engine then Live 2003. It was hard to shoot if a guy was facing you...
One thing I loved about the early NBA Lives, well the fact that you could block anyones dunk with anyone. Blocking Shaq was always fun and a fun way to get your hand smashed into little pieces in real life.
Thu Sep 11, 2003 7:40 pm
ey....don't forget about john starks! the man with the 3 range and dunking power! hehehehe...the main man..
cheers!
Thu Sep 11, 2003 9:08 pm
Starks was cool too... I played with Knicks back then... Starks was never really that dominant in the game. I had hard time getting good play with him.
Ewing rocked the world back then... Patrick was really good.
Olajuwon was a god-like figure... As was Kemp, Shaq etc.
Fri Sep 12, 2003 11:52 am
NBA Live 95 is where I played my best defense against Shaq. Held him to 17 points (16 of them came in the first half) with Olajuwon. Never again.

I thought the cameras sucked this year. Inside drive has the best camera views. Its like your watching the game on tv. their graphics suck thouth
Sun Sep 14, 2003 9:41 am
Yeah, the Press cam in Live 2003 left something to be desired, but the Press angle in Live 98-2002 was pretty spot on.
Sun Sep 14, 2003 9:43 am
isn't there suppose to be some camera right next to to the player's head or something?
Sun Sep 14, 2003 9:52 am
No idea. I heard that Madden 2004 has a first person camera, but I don't think there'll be one in Live 2004.
