assists

how come if i pass my teammate the ball and he scores, and i check player stats they sometimes don't count the assist.

Thats weird because that never happens to me but you know that there is a certain time limit for the pass to be counted.

For example: If i'm using the Kings and I pass the ball to Miller from Bibby then wait 10 seconds before I score it wouldn't count.

If the shooter hangs on to the ball for too long before scoring then the passer might not be credited with the assist. That's probably why.
