Due to the time difference, I only found out a few minutes ago when I checked my email, so I've only just been able to post it on the news page.

The official patch fixes the CustomArt crashes, allows you to create more than 5 custom teams, and also allows you to play the game in maximum resolution (if your video card is capable of doing so). You can can download it via FTP, or through the Patch shortcut in your NBA Live 2004 Start Menu folder.

figured it out--if you had the unofficial patch you have to put the original exe back in the nba live 2004 folder, then download the patch. It works now and the game looks great at 1600x1200.

I'll tell you one thing, the official EA patch takes a little longer to load then the 'unofficial' patch, but the games run hella smoother.

I acutally upped my resolution to 1600x1200 because now my machine can run it without chopping every 2 seconds like it did with the 'unofficial' patch

i installed it but how do I know it's working? under detail settings, the highest i can go is 1280X1024...shouldnt it go higher?

The game does load slower.................. but the patch does work!

i downloaded the EN-US from the ftp file, and i unzipped the folder and put them in to the nbalive 2004 folder. when i run the file, it says old file not found. how do i download this stuff ?

copy the the original nba.exe from the live cd and run the update again it should work with no problem because wont work over no crack no cd thingy.

i've tried it and it still doesn't work
i think it has to do with language since there are many versions of live2k4,
english(US & UK), french, german, korean, chinese, etc...

i hope there'd be some new solutions to this

i installed it, and is suceeded, but i can't switch the screen to 1600x1200.

i think it depend on your monitor whether it takes 1600 X 1200 screen resolution i have the same problem it crashes back to desktop.

i c. mine won't crush, but it's unable.
