XXX_acc.fsh file and Muscle def. in DBF file

What is the deal with this? When i changed the muscle def. in the dbf file, the patch i was making the XXX_acc.fsh file was no longer used, and a fluorescent green replaced it.
What does this do? And
Are their different skin tone files for different muscle tones?
