How to install custom arts with "customart disable"??
Exemple: Kobe bryant.
Cyberface/tattoo/accessory:
1. Go to nba live 2004/render/....,open xplayer.viv with eagraph.....
2. Extract kobryan.viv and rename it to kobryao.viv.
3. Unpack kobryao.viv with VIVMAGIC
4. Go to the folder "kobryao" and rename following files :
- kobryan.fsh--> kobryao.fsh
- kobryan_acc.fsh--> kobryao_acc.fsh
- kobryan_loda.o--> kobryao_loda.o
- kobryan_lodau.o--> kobryao_lodau.o
- kobryan_lodc.o--> kobryao_lodc.o
- kobryan_lodcu.o--> kobryao_lodcu.o
- kobryan_lodd.o--> kobryao_lodd.o
- kobryan_loddu.o--> kobryao_loddu.o
- kobryan_suit_loda.o--> kobryao_suit_loda.o
5. Repack kobryao.idx with VIVMAGIC
6. Import kobryao.viv to xplayer.viv with eagraph
7. Go to My documents/nba live 2004/detabase/currentdb/....,open players.dbf.
8. Find kobe bryant(lakers : Line 164),change the ID7 and PLAYERPKG to "KOBRYAO".
Socks: ( for nfstool's experienced users only)
Import socks files (v001~020) to _acc.fsh,and choose it from "Edit Player screen".
Headbands:
Can't have differents headbands for home/away/retro.....etc
Practice Gear: (example : Lakers_home--llpr02)
1. Rename your prxx.fsh to llpr03.fsh
2. Download this file , and rename it to llpr03_num.fsh.
3. Go to nba live 2004/render/....,open xteam.viv with eagraph.....
4. Import llpr03.fsh and llpr03_num.fsh to xteam.viv.
5. Go to My documents/nba live 2004/detabase/currentdb/....,open teamgear.dbf.
6. Copy and Paste lakers(Team :11) home practice gear(JERSEYTYPE : 6 ) and edit :
- ID : 279
- SHPNAME : llpr03
- ISUNLOCKED : 3.
7. Choose your custom jersey from "select jersey screen".
Beye: (example: ey04)
1. Go to nba live 2004/render/....,unpack xplrcmn.viv with VIVMAGIC.....
2. Download this file (included 5 custom eyes files)
3. Replace plrcmn with your downloaded file in the folder "xplrcmn".
4. Repack xplrcmn.idx with VIVMAGIC.
5. Open xplrcmn.viv with eagraph
6. Find the eyes you want to replace.
7. Use import wizard: import external file into current open image
8. Check to make sure the original bmp was replaced.
9. Go to My documents/nba live 2004/detabase/currentdb/....,open eyecoloracc.dbf.
10. Add/Edit your custom eyes with following informations:
- Delated: False
- ID: 5
- LOCID: 181
- COLOURTYPE: 1
- TEXNAME: ey04
11. Go to My documents/nba live 2004/detabase/currentdb/....,open players.dbf.
12. Find your kobe bryant(lakers : Line 164),and change EYECOLOR to 5
Shoes: (exemple: home/practice_home)
1. Download this file (included 10 custom shoes files)
2. Go to nba live 2004/render/....,open xplrcmn.viv with eagraph.....
3. Use import wizard : add files to an external TAR archive.
4. Check to make sure the original shoe.fsh was replaced.
5. Find the shoes you want to replace.(example"shaf")
6. Use import wizard: import external file into current open image
7. Check to make sure the original bmp was replaced.
8. Go to My documents/nba live 2004/detabase/currentdb/....,open shoesacc.dbf.
9. Add/Edit your custom shoes with following informations:
- Delated: False
- ID: 175 (~184)
- LOCID: 346 (~ unlimited)
- COLOURTYPE: 1
- TEXNAME: shaf
- ISLOCKED: False/ True(other players can choose this shoes named "35" or "soul patch" from "Edit Player screen")
- SHOEBRAND: 1
10. Go to My documents/nba live 2004/detabase/currentdb/....,open players.dbf.
11. Find your kobe bryant(lakers : Line 164),and edit:
- SHOELIMIT: 1 (players can choose other shoes from "Edit Player screen")
- HOMESHOE: same as ID in shoeacc.dbf
- ORIGHSHOE: same as ID in shoeacc.dbf

In step #6 of your tutorial, you mention that we should import kobryano.fsh into xplayer.viv with eagraph. Just curious, did you mean to say that we should import kobryano.viv into xplayer.viv, instead? Why else would we have repacked kobryano.idx with vivmagic?
By the way, would it be better if I updated my originaldb, currentdb, and workingdb? I just don't want to have to keep going in there and making changes. Although, I guess that I will have to make these changes in the db whenever I d/l a roster update, right? Anyway around that? Why is it necessary to put an "o" at the end of the first 5 letters of the players last name (i.e. kobryant

Sorry I made a mistake,it's "kobryao.viv" instead.........
It's not necessary to edit files in "workingdb" and "originaldb"
but if you got the roster update,you need to edit or replace again the following files in your saves folder:
player.dbf (edited)
teamgear.dbf (replaced)
about the player's last name,you can put any lettre you want at the end or creat any other name~~~
if you want to delete a file from .viv files,you need to use vivmagic or eazip.....

I usually use DB Commander 2000. But i bet you can use any .DBF-editor.

Adding custom shoes to shoes.fsh with nsftool.
1.Open shoes.fsh with nfstool.....
2.You will have a folder called "Shoes".
3.In this folder,you will get all shoes in .bmp format with 3 differents dimensions....
4.Open the file "index" with notepad.......and take a look....
5.You have to edit 3 parts......
I."SHPI 173 objects, tag G346...."it depends on how many shoes you want to import to the shoes.fsh ,for exemple, I want to add 3 more shoes,I'll have "176 objects"
II."BUFSZ 2500464..."you need to increase the buffer size, so here,I'll give "25004640"
III.It's the most complicated part......

Why change the dbf files. Why not just replace the kobryan.viv totally?
Just curious...wouldn't that just save time and extra dbf editing when the new rosters come out?

How do I repack kobryao.idx with VIVMAGIC ? Since I have extracted them when they were kobryan, I only get kobryan.idx. And even after renaming all kobryan to kobryao (including kobryan.idx to kobryao.idx), repacking kobryao.idx would attempt to repack kobryan stuffs which it can't find anymore.

step 6 under the Jersey portion isn't clear to me... I'm trying to put in someone's T-mac patch and can't get the jerseys in cuz I don't understand step 6 of the PRACTICE GEAR section.. please help ... and I did all the renaming of the Cyberface portion and it didn't even show up in game... HELP

i've tried to do it with a created player but when i have to import it to xplayer i don't have a .idx file to import....what i need to do?

can someone help me with custom art?
i downloaded the new garnett and duncan shoes. my problem is when i create an xplayer folder for garnett and duncan and place the custom art shoes the shoes doesnt display correctly in the game. i already change the customart 0 to customart 1. but i still cant view theshoe correctly in the game. and i tried the air jordan 1's and put it on duncan's folder and the shoe displayed correctly.
did i miss something. i tried the DANet shoe patch but still it didnt work.
