I am not getting any of my players to Auto sub, why is this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

you have to go to preferences and i dont know. maybe in-game settings...

and then change the sliders.. the FATIGUE EFFECT slider(so you actually get tired), and the SUBSTITUTION FREQUENCY slider (so your coach will sub for you),

hope that answers your question

i just got the game last night... it was great. imho, the PC version's gameplay is better than xbox or ps2.. maybe just psychological

By default, fatigue and user sub (auto subs) are both set to 0. I've found that 50 is a realistic setting for fatigue. I don't use auto subs, but the CPU subs are set to 50 (as are most sliders), so I'd say that's a good setting for user auto subs as well.
