The hardest for me are probably quad double and 100% shooting even with sliders to the max.

I can't wait to tweak the hell out of this game!

main sliders i see that will need tweaking is
1.game speed : 30-35
2.cpu steal/human steal : 10-15
3.cpu block/human block :5-10
4.cpu interception/human : 10-15
5.user fakeout discipline? : whatever number it is so the cpu won't jump everytime you pump fake! At default it's a 100 and i don't know what that means yet
6.fatigue effectiveness:50-65 (i want to use my bench)

those are all i can think of right now that will need tweaking, i don't have the game so I'm just guessing.

yeh i agree with your settings cocobee,
I'll probably set the speed to the lowest possible setting, decrease blocks too, probably max out the fatigue for cpu and user,

Those setting would've worked so well in 2003.
But dunno how 2004 will be like with the default setting.

Yeah, you really have no idea how the game will play out when it comes out of the box. For all that we know, it could be all good and you don't even have to touch the sliders...

But just having the sliders, well that just brings a feel of security that we will get atleast something close to what we want.

Live 2003 could have certainly used the gameplay sliders. NBA Live 2004 might not even need them, but it's good that they are there.

I'm kind of worried by some of those tasks - they seem to suggest that shooting 90% from the field or winning by 50 is quite possible.

if you play a game with 2minute quarters it might be andrew  , or perhaps u have to change settings, but i really dont think they suggest any indication of high fg-%'s and stuff, the object is to gather points, and it is not supposed to plain easy andrew, but it has to be a challenge, so it wouldnt occur much imho, and there will be other ways to gathter points i believe, just a thought (y)

That's true. The amount of points you are awarded for such tasks is pretty high, so that could indicate they don't occur very often and thus generously rewarded.

As you know, I'm not a fan of unlockables, hence I'm a little concerned the NBA Store will get in the way of the simulated NBA season experience.

Score 70 points in a half: 10
Score 100 points in a game: 30

this seems a little stupid. how come that you only get 30 when you score 100 pts in a game, while scoring 40 pts a quarter (which makes 160 pts a game) gives only 5 ?

Yo people...

The thing of it is... That you need hundreds of points to get yourself a trainer for a short period of time, and I think it was almost three thousand to get a trainer for a season.

So it really does not matter wheter you get 5 or 10 points for something. In the long run it will matter, but not for a single game.

And alexboom, scoring 40 points in a quarter gets you 5 points and if you do so a couple of times you get 10 points from those and you will likely score over 100 points in the game too so that 40 pts in a quarter thing is pretty much a bonus that is added on top of that 100 point mark.

And we really shouldn't criticise the system when we haven't even tested it. It might work out fine. And it probably will.

These tasks seem to be to earn points to spend in the NBA Store though. They're for unlocking additional retro jerseys and shoes, not spending on trainers etc.

i don't realy like the idea of 'unlockable' stuff. like in Tony Hawk for example... that sucked that you had to complete different stuff that doesn't make any since just to be abloe to skate somewhere else...

these tasks are all a 'one-time thing' right? so once you've made it. there's no possibillity go get money for doing it again?
in that case, how are you suppose to make money after you've done all of those?

The easiest one with the most points is definitly the every player scores for 250, I try to do that regardless if I'm comfortably winning. I'm assuming you can complete each task multiple times as opposed to only being able to complete it once.

Some are Team tasks and some are individual tasks. Some to be accomplished as a team and some to be accomplished as a single player. I think the task list is very well done.

Some of the tasks seem alittle hard, but hey that's why they are called challenges right?

I'm almost assured you can complete those tasks multiple times... It's a task list for a single game... Individual and teams tasks.

i think i'm gonna try to score 20 dunks without a miss - 100% FG, with KG or TMAC.

then go for the quad-double with KG in another session; then have everyone score a point in EXTENDED MINS.

i'll be my the yin yang in kicks, headbands, etc................................

Bugger the unlockables, Ima just gonna play the game, and go out to win. I really don't give a damn about the NBA Store, though it should be pretty cool.

I'm more willing to use those points for coaches. I wanna try to unlock all the shoes in exhibition play so I'll still be able to use them. On a side note I bet EA used a better resolution for it's shoes than last year. Maybe a 256x256 instead of that 128x128 crap.
