What will they think of in Live 2005

Postby killerht on Wed Sep 24, 2003 3:21 pm

Hwy,

If Live 2004 is the way it says it it, then how can they make a better game in 2005. It's impossible, unless they make a virtual reality Nba Live 2005 where you are the player playing the game with virtual reality glasses and gloves, and go through a life in the NBA or something crazy like that. Or the life of a GM or coach.

although 2004 will have numerous improvements over 2003, it is far from perfect considering how bad 2003's gameplay is. For one, i still don't see any effort from ea to put controlled passing despite the fact that its competitions already has it. Honestly, i am only expecting a more realistic gameplay this year and they should've done that years ago.

Just read the wishlist forum...you'll then see what can be added. EA is backed up on ideas....and if they ever run out on any...they can just read there.

-Realistic salaries

-Player-Team relations

-Player happiness

-Rookie scouting

-Realistic economy

-Better gameplay (you can always improve that)

-1st person mode (actually deus ex had a couple of basket ball hoops in it and some basket balls and you could try to throw a hoop in it. It was extremely hard and in the end quite pointless, but it was a neat little trick that I as a bball fan can appreciate... when you made a hoop, it said something like "Houston Rockets rule" or something like it, or something about the knicks... Atleast on the bball court in new york)

-team streaks and player streaks

-weekly reports on whats going on, if not even daily. (Like players scoring big, whose moved to the trading block, what teams are hot, who got injured, gm firings and hirings etc.)

That's just the stuff that scrathces the surface.

-Mini game with complaining to the ref...

-A button for subs and timeouts in the gameplay, so you wouldn't have to pause the game at every turn.

These are something that I would like to see and see no reason why these shouldn't be in the game.

It's nice to have a 1st person mode.
Of couse it maybe very difficuilt to play, but i'd like to watch a "CPU vs CPU" game in this mode

actually when i am having dinner or doing other stuff, i sometimes let the CPU to play a game itself.
Moreover, i always switch the camera back and forth to have some fun.

I think a 1st person view is much more interesting!

For starters, they can fix the graphics. Then they can fix the changes the made for 2004, that they had overdone. For example, when they added Freestyle control, they made it too powerful.

Why do i keep hearing 'realistic salaries' in wishlists? You do know that EA didn't choose not to put them in, don't ya? they're not allowed to. something to do with the law, dunno what. Why do you think they're not in any NBA Lives? because they can't.
It's no worries really anyway, roster patchers with enough patience and detecation usually make realistic salaries anyway. (Y)

I expect NBA Live 2004 to be great, but there'll be ways to enhance the game come Live 2005. Further improvements to the gameplay Dynasty Mode, the addition of "sideshow" modes, more in-depth "Create-a..." Modes...no matter how great Live 2004 is, we'll be able to think of something for the Wishlist.
