Final Rosters

Postby cam on Mon Aug 25, 2003 1:34 pm

Just wondering, when is the latest possible date that EA finalises there Rosters for NBA Live. I'm a Hawks Fan, and so far, Jason Terry hasn't agreed to the hawks offer sheet, and theres also talk of Memphis wanting some kind of deal to get a rebounding centre such as Nazr Muhammed. I would real dissapointed if JT was listed as a free agent or something in the game.

anyone heard of any teams being interested in JT?

Can't believe we got rid of Ira Newble and Dion Glover. I can understand getting rid of Big Dog, all offense no D, but for a shitty contract deal.

anyways, cheers, Cam! :D

The final rosters are usually late september/early october... So he's still got time to sign. And it is easy to fix the roster if you only have to move one player. Even I can do that :D

West said that Memphis ain't done yet this off-season, so expect the unexpected.

Yeah, the rosters are usually up to date around that time. BUT the game was normally released around mid-November. This time around, EA has planned to release Live 2004 around early October. So who knows how early or late the final rosters will be.

Only time will tell....

Roster freeze could happen around middle of september... It takes 2-3 weeks to print out the copies of a game and send it all over the globe. I think they will freeze it as the last thing they do.

But with EA you never know.

Players who were under contract last season but haven't found a new home by the time EA has it's deadline, they will still be in the game with the team they were with last season. So if Jason Terry hasn't signed with anyone before the deadline, he will be in Live 2004 as a Hawk.

EA usually finds a way to squeeze in significant players, at least in the PC version (Michael Redd was not in the PS2 version of Live 2003, but he was in the PC version).

When is the NBA official deadline then?

the Hawks offered JT his offer weeks ago, and I have heard no interest from other teams, no sign and trade deals and no mention of him wanting to sign with the Hawks.

Also, does anyone know anything about Dermarr Jonhson? I obviously know he sat the year out, but the Hawks website is terrible for injury updates. And he's an unrestriced free agaent? when will he be right to play? will he be right to play? will he sign? will JT sign?

Sorry bout the non NBA live post, but seeing as I'm Australian and don't have Cable I get NO NBA coverage, sucks.

thanks!

Normally, EA puts the relevant unsigned players as free agents.
