you can patch it, but i think he's talking about --if a game will be televised or not on the calender. Players play differently when they know there's a TV audience. That'd be a good touch, I think NCAA football has that feature. The non televised games had no commentary. That'd be nice in dynasty mode.

Close. NBA Live 99.

The idea of games not shown on TNT not having commentary is interesting, but my suggestion would be to have Albert and Fratello doing the nationally televised games, while other games would just be the local network (and thus, the home team's TV analysts) - for the sake of being generic, they could use Don Poier and Bob Elliott in those roles.

But then again, that would waste the use of Marv Albert and the Czar, if they would only commentate a handful of games.

This would compliment my suggestion that getting the networks really involved with their real commentators would be cool. And adding that feel of "your watching it on your telly"... And it would make the commentators repeat them selves when they would commentate less games in a row.

But this is a thing for the future, don't even expect it to be in 2004...

I wouldn't place high expectations on it at any time - it would probably cost a bit (to put it mildly) to enlist the services of several commentators as well as Don and Bob as generic local network commentators - but you never know what details might one day make their way into the game.
