I Can't Wait

Postby joemimic on Sat May 10, 2003 4:51 pm

I'm having to find new ways to entertain myself with 2003, so I'm looking forward to 2004, hopefully they do realize the graphics need very little tweaking just some fine tuning and most of the work needs to be done is in the layout and in the actual gameplay.

I think there's no danger in being optimistic about NBA Live 2004. NBA Live 2003 has provided the perfect base for a great game - a means of full player control and new ways of playing the game. The best way Live 2004 can build on that is to address the concerns about gameplay, specifically realism, fixing up problems from Live 2003 and adding some new bits and pieces, especially to Dynasty Mode (the Mode formerly known as Franchise).

The early previews all suggest that this has been the case. I think we should all look to finish up our Live 2003 Franchises, since if the game's as good as the preliminary info suggests, then sticking with Live 2003 or going back a year might be difficult. (Sidenote: To kill time the other day, I played a game of NBA Live 98. Needless to say, I was tapping the right analog stick to perform Freestyle moves, to no avail.)

Still known as Franchise to me!!!

My players 3 point ratings are high (97, I'm a god damned good 3 point shooter), but no one, no matter how good nails every one... You have you good days, but never shoot over 70 percent in 3s...

I only shoot when i'm open... easier to get them;)

I know what you mean Icebane. You can call it Franchise, Dynasty, Multi-Season Mode or A-simulation-of-25-years-in-the-NBA Mode, as long as it has the features we want.

In the writeup that EA made about 2004 they referred to it as dynasty mode.

As Colin said, it's now called Dynasty Mode. But as I said before, whatever it's called, as long as it has what we want, it doesn't matter what it's called. :)

Heheh... it reminds me of that "Love is a name, sex is a game forget the name, and play the game!"
