NBA Live 2004 official EA listing...

Postby Metsis on Fri May 09, 2003 4:29 pm

A list of improvements is there... Nothing exceptionally new here. Most of the things they've promised before, but the main thing is this: They don't say they're gonna do much new. So maybe they've heard the message, that the game is good and all it needs is fixing and tweaking.

There were a couple new "cool" features listed too that have popped up on these boards too. Like new defensive motor, revamped strategies and importing your own college guys to the draft. And I don't know what they meant about that whole dynasty thing and what does it mean or is it just the familiar franchise with a something new and a different name.

This is just what I think... I really hope that they will make a solid game without big and glaring flaws.

It's just a new name for Franchise Mode.

Can everyone just please remember that this is a very, very early preview, and nothing is final. New features might (and almost certainly will) be added further on.

It would be the only way. As far as I know, they don't make March Madness for the PC.

So you can only import players from March Madness 2004??? Is this the only way...

I was hoping that I could add myself to a draft. If it is what IGN wrote, well it will not be a great addition. And just the fact that MM2004 is not coming out on all the platforms, especially PC.

I thought you could sort of "create a player" for draft. Now that would be a useful addition.

And this is already an official listing of features. So it is pretty final if the game comes out in less then six months. Because there is a ton of testing to be done and they propably have something to show at the E3 expo.

Metsis!!!! the first finnish member i've seen here!!!
I'm not sure but in every Live there could be a file where the future prospects info are. If someone got a hand on those, real players could be added.

Electronic Entertainment Expo (hence the name E3), an annual event where game developers preview their upcoming titles, future plans, etc.

It is propably crypted... The file I mean... I don't think they want us doing what we want with the game. And I believe that the players come out some sort generator and that not all their stats are fixed and same in all franchises.

And Finnboy... I've been here a long time...

Yep, it seems. But I still have more posts. Glad to hear from my natives.

I really look forward to Live 2004. But there's still some 2003 before that... and making the game better with patches!!!

yeah I think there should be a way to modify the database that creates rookies, more implementations of saying a players name(why can you make a player named Jason Smith and it can't say that? Both names are in the game!). I personally could care less if the generated players could be changed, as long as they improved it so that they don't look so much alike and wear number 78 all the time. After 10 years in Franchise every all star is sporting number 74...
