Make it a SIMULATION not arcade!!!!!

Or have both modes available (for example: franchise mode can be more like simulation, while all the others can be arcade modes)

In simulation mode must be:
- more realistic gameplay
- better AI (let the best player of the team have most shots)
- more difficult to play (if you know one trick you can beat CPU easily)
- more franchise options
- injuries
- disable CPU cheating (if CPU is down in the 4th it hits all the 3 pointers even with AI assistance off)
- realistic game scores for 12 minute quarter

There is already an option where you can choose between simulation and arcade...:?

Are you joking? Have you ever played a simulation game before?

That isn't simulation. It only turns off the rules and some other things. The game can be played as simulation only with seriously tweaked ratings. But there are still some options missing (INJURIES!!!!)

I remember that in NBA Live 2000 theree was big difference between Simulate and Arcade. When seted to Arcade then Dunks were something like player jumped higher than baskets and shots went in every time. This kind a arcade would be pretty cool sometimes. But i agree that simulation mode should be better. AI really sucks because even when cpu team is losing by 1 and 10 sec left they still wont make intentional fouls, and anyways AI sucks. And yea...More injuries to make game more interesting.

I'm all with you on this one... There's one thing though. Remember Live 2001, well it had pretty realistic scores with 12 minute quarters, but the game was incredibly slow. I'm just saying that the game needs to be slowed down so you can't blow past the defenders all the time, and the hand in your face factor is too important. So every shot that gets past the block go swooshing in.

I think Live 2000 had good speed of the game. And you didn't have to play 12 mins to get realistic scores. You could get realistic scores with 6 mins. The problem with 12 mins is that it takes a long time to play the game, and a lot of patience so it will not be as attractive as the fast paced game to the normal gamer, but slowing it down a bit would be great.

Still the animation is great at the moment, but the inside hustling could use a little more work. Otherwise the graphics don't need upgrading, but mere optimizing...

Yes, graphics and animations are great but gameplay needs to be improved greatly. I'm sure that there are a lot of players who would love to play the game as simulation and not as arcade (please don't make a fool of yourself by saying that there is a simulation mode in NBA Live 2003 ). Just look at the huge number of tweaked rosters with lower ratings. I'm also playing in an online league where we are using tweaked rosters and the gameplay is great.

If you want a really good gameplay play 98. It was one of the best for it, it didn't have any fancy graphics or moves. Just normal stuff. I'm still pissed off my mom sold it for $3 at a garage sale :x

Unfortunatelly I can't find Live 98 and I doubt that it would work on Win XP (even Live 2001 doesn't). Maybe the developers should play all the previos NBA Live games ant take all the best features from them and implement them in Live 2004  I also don't care about graphics and fancy moves I just want some decent realistic gameplay.
