Really Stupid Question (Created Players)

I know this is stupid, but, I did a search and couldn't come up with an answer, although everyone talks about using them..but...

How do I use a created player in a Dynasty in NBA Live 2004 for PS2? I have tried both starting with a Fantasy Draft (before playing my first game) and also my 4th season of an existing dynasty, I want to create myself (I need a shooter). It seems that everytime I try to create a player in the first screen before I load anything else, it's okay, but then when I load my dynasty, the "Created Players List" is always dimmed out? I also tried saving my rosters file in the first screen, but then when I load my dynasty, I can't load rosters either...What am I doing wrong? Please help...

You need to have the created player created BEFORE you make the dynasty

Yeah, that's kind of what I was wondering....kind of a stupid feature....oh well, such is EA games that aren't named Madden nowadays.
